Graduation with Distinction or Honors

Graduation with Distinction

Graduation with Distinction provides the criteria for graduation with distinction and includes a table indicating the minimum cumulative grade-point average (CGPA) required for distinction in each college. The distinction table is created by the Registrar's office in September for the coming fall and spring semesters and summer session. The table is based on the grade-point averages of previous graduates.

The cumulative grade-point averages required to graduate with distinction vary because they are calculated individually for each graduating class.

A student's distinction level is determined by his/her final CGPA in the semester in which his/her degree is conferred. Preliminary distinction (based on the student's cumulative grade-point average in the semester prior to degree conferral) may be acknowledged at the commencement ceremony.

Graduation with Honors

Students who have fulfilled the requirements of the Schreyer Honors College graduate with honors.
